Christiane Carman explores color, image, and shape through two central inspirations: the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the energy of urban life. Both are linked by a continual sense of discovery and the promise of encountering something new at every turn.

Born in San Francisco and raised in Northern California, Christiane graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She lived in Los Angeles before moving to Bainbridge Island, where she currently lives and paints.

Oil is her medium of choice, but she also works with pastels and acrylics.
